How to always be happy?

With the world walking more into negativity and sadness, it is becoming more and more difficult for everyone to be happy. People generally confuse "being happy" with "overcoming sadness". 



There are two ways of being happy, one is that we do something for the sake of being happy. Which means, we do something to get temporary happiness. We normally tend to depend on people or things for our happiness. When we don't get those things or have conflicts with those people we become unhappy. For example, If we think that cracking an exam or getting a promotion or getting a certain person to love us would make us happy. But this would just make us happy for a limited time.

Even if we get those things, we will be sad again after sometime because then we will try to get better things than we just got to make us more happy. Then life becomes an endless struggle of trying to be happy. The reason behind this kind of struggle is that we think very less of ourselves. We think that we are unsuccessful, alone, incomplete and bunch of other sad things which makes us sad. It is one of those kind of happiness where we laugh watching a comedy show and right after the show is over we are reminded of the problems we have, which makes us sad again. It is like we are afraid of being sad that is why we are trying to be happy.



Another way is understanding and accepting who we are. Then we won't need anyone to become the reason for our happiness. Because once we understand and accept ourselves, we won't run behind things that won't matter forever. We will be happy in the present and with what we have. Even if we want to do something or achieve something we won't do it to be happy instead we will do it happily. 

In today's life, peace is at the verge of extinction. Even if we try to do something peacefully for ourselves while being happy, there will be competition, people who will constantly try to pull us down. Then whenever something will not go according to our plan we will get frustrated and sad. Even if someone tells us to sit quietly and do nothing our body becomes restless. Because there is no peace in our inner selves.



The main reason behind this kind of sadness or unhappiness is our surrounding. The people we are surrounded with. Our education system. The mindset of our society. The whole structure is polluted. The starting point of this is that when an infant comes to a stage of understanding he/she is being told that "YOU NEED TO PROVE YOURSELF TO US". There are numerous other reasons which are related to us and which we can change for a more peaceful and happy life, but no one would talk about it because no one has the time to think about things like these. Things that really should matter. Everyone is just too busy behind materialistic things, that they forget to live life.

We should always try to be happy and make other people happy. It's not hard to make someone happy. Sometimes there will be situations in life where we would want to do something but we won't be able to due to some physical or mental restrictions, even then we need to be happy and carefree. No matter what may happen, happiness is always a choice that we need to choose.



We need to enjoy every microsecond of our lives.
